Incorporating diagnosis and medical treatment for individuals with lung problems
heath staff

Our pulmonary specialists offer a wide range of medical services that are designed to meet your family’s needs. Our experienced doctors help patients achieve their health goals with an outpatient or inpatient approach using the latest technology. Our services cater to the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary (lung) conditions and diseases.

The conditions we treated are:

ARDS (acute/adult respiratory distress syndrome)

Acute respiratory distress syndrome occurs when the lungs are severely injured, keeping them from filling with enough air and making breathing increasingly difficult.

Asthma

Asthma is a lung condition in which the airways get narrow and swollen and are blocked by excess mucus, leading to breathing difficulties. It usually starts in childhood and affects people of all ages.

Chronic Cough

Chronic cough is a persistent cough that lasts for three to eight weeks. Common causes of chronic cough include allergies, medications, smoking, and lung diseases.

COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease including emphysema and chronic bronchitis)

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD, which includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema, is a long-term lung condition that causes airflow blockage and breathing problems. The main cause of COPD is excessive smoking.

Hemoptysis

Hemoptysis is a lung disease where an individual coughs and spits up blood or bloody mucus from the lower respiratory tract.

Lung Cancer

Lung cancer is a disease caused by harmful cells dividing uncontrollably and causing tumors to grow, resulting in breathing problems.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Other Sleep Disorders

Obstructive sleep apnea is a sleep disorder that causes frequent pauses in breathing that disrupt and prevent restful sleep.

Pleural Effusion

Pleural effusion or ‘water on the lungs’ occurs when there are excess fluids between the layers of tissue between the lungs and chest cavity. Symptoms of pleural effusion include chest pain, dry cough, shortness of breath, and orthopnea.

Sarcoidosis

It is an inflammatory disease that develops granulomas and most often affects the lungs and lymph nodes in the chest. The skin is also affected by the disease.

Solitary Pulmonary Nodule

A solitary pulmonary nodule is a single round or oval spot in the lungs that is smaller than 3 cm in diameter.

Tuberculosis

Tuberculosis is a disease caused by a bacterium, mycobacterium tuberculosis, and most often affects the lungs. Symptoms of tuberculosis include frequent coughs, coughing up blood or mucus, weight loss, fatigue, and chills.
Our diagnostic services include the following:

Blood Gas Analysis

Blood Gas Analysis measures the oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in your blood. It also measures your body’s acid-base (pH) level.

Bronchial Provocation

The bronchial provocation test evaluates whether your lung airways are more sensitive than normal. It is often used in diagnosing asthma in patients.

Closed Pleural Biopsy

Patients with a thickened pleura or pleural effusion may benefit from a closed pleural biopsy.

Bronchoscopy

It is a procedure that examines the lungs and their air passages. Bronchoscopy diagnoses and treats lung problems such as tumors or bronchial cancer, airway blockage, persistent cough, coughing up blood, and more.

Peak Expiratory Flow Rate Monitoring

Peak expiratory flow rate is a procedure to measure air flowing out of the lungs or how fast a person can exhale. People with asthma, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema can benefit from peak expiratory flow rate monitoring.

PFTs (pulmonary function tests)

Pulmonary function tests are breathing tests that determine how your lungs work. It also measures how well your lungs absorb oxygen into your blood. You may need PFTs if you have lung or airway symptoms.

Polysomnogram

A polysomnogram is a procedure that diagnoses and evaluates sleep-related breathing disorders and other sleep disorders.

Spirometry

Spirometry diagnoses chronic lung diseases, such as asthma and COPD. It is also used to determine if your illness is improving or worsening or whether your medications or inhalers are working properly.

Thoracentesis

Thoracentesis is a procedure that is used to remove pleural fluid.
